69: Love in a bottle

Posted by michaeljk on August 15, 2007

Observational documentary is an art form and I like to paint with my camera.

Although constantly moving and never really knowing where we might be I like to build emotion into the scene.

I like to get under the skin of subjects while maintaining an objective viewpoint.

Unfortunately that ethos wasn’t important to the producers of a previous job ‘Cops with Battering Rams’.

Family Planning

Family Planning

We’re back to doing what we do best – finding family. Like a Phoenix rising from the rubble, we’ve taken a few knocks but refuse to be beaten and will continue, with a quiet dignity, towards achieving our goal.

This is just one of the many ways in which I think we (and Ian in particular) resemble a young Kerry Katona.

Love & Light,

Dawn x

Beaches and Cream

Posted by Ian Jones on August 15, 2007

I like beaches, but not the ones with mainly nuded people browning on.

I like the ones with rockpools and bits of stuff to look at and maybe some rain – ones where people aren’t pretending not to stare at each other while slopping themselves with cream.

And, although the sea is beautiful to look at, it is always worth remembering that there are 100s of things in there that are better adapted to swimming about than humans, and that don’t want the humans there, and that have teeth and biters and stings.
